proof. The headmaster also threatened Fak not to come near his house again. Fak

the headmaster and to make suffer like him. He would spread a

The judgement Pg. 130-222
One year later, Fak became more addicted to alcohol
because it brought him pleasure. When he followed the 5 laws, he didn’t receive
any good feat back. Fak could sleep easily without any obstacle when he drinks
alcohol. It didn’t lead him to a peaceful life. Fak began to choose the wrong
direction. He decided to spend most of his money on buying alcohol. The
villagers criticized him more than before, and no one dare to tease him as they
used to be, and no one talk with him except Uncle Khai. Uncle Khai also feel
sorry for encouraging Fak to drink the rice wine. However, Fak can still carry
out his job in the school, but he felt tired of works and thought that work is
no longer important for him. On New Year Day, Fak didn’t wake up early and help
the work in the temple because he couldn’t get up because of the alcohol. The
abbot called for Fak and gave him a warning. Fak promised not to drink again
because drinking isn’t a best solution, but it will ruin your life. Unfortunately,
he broke his promise and continued consuming alcohol. Every time when he got
drunk, he would remind himself about the promise that he will stop and shout loudly.
One day, Fak was too lazy to wake up. The students came to his hut and insulted
him outloud by calling Fak a drunkard. This made Fak angry and he threw stone
at the forehead of one guy. This event brought into the school meeting, and the
headmaster decided Fak to resign from a school janitor because of his behavior
lately. He drunk, had a smell of alcohol, dirty, and he have no responsibility.
This makes Fak so upset. However, he still carried on his drinking progress and
even more drunk that his looks changed completely from skinny into a big pot
belly. This really makes him look ugly. He got attack by the father of the kid
on his way back to the hut from Uncle Khai’s house. He arrived with bloody face
and he lost his teeth. So, Fak has broken the 3 laws for killing the innocent
dog, lied to the abbot, and drink alcohol. None of the villagers feel sorry for
Fak. Both Fak and Somsong now live in a
different world. Fak’s life was with alcohol because it’s only his true friend
while M’am Somsong would collecting treasures from outside the hut. Fak
finished his job as a janitor until the end of august. By the middle of
September, people no longer talking about Fak, but instead, they talked about
the new electricity coming from the town, but Fak didn’t care about what’s
going on. He still kept on with his drinking and lived in a simple own way.

The Judgement pg.51-130
During the school vacation, Fak didn’t have any work to attend , so he
looked for a hired job, and he was being hired by the households to do some weird
jobs. One day, M’am Songsom was so angry and took off her sarong so Fak was
about to tell her to put it on. Suddenly, the villager came and saw thewhat was
happening, and they all stop hiring Fak. So he was left alone with no works and
he couldn’t go on with his life. He couldn’t sleep and become thinner and
thinner.
In the New Year day, people came to
make a merit, they bring food to the monk, and listening to the chanting. M’am
Somsong made a trouble to herself again and got hit by Song for not showing the
respect to his ancestor. No matter how hard he tried to tell everybody that he
has never once slept together with her, but no one believed him. Everyone would
let Fak kept attend and great care of his big lady and that made him even emptier
because he’s not allowed to participate in any activity that happened in the
village. When the school reopened, Fak got back to his life with his work.
There’s a dog behind the school and people suspected that it was a road dog and
it might bite one of the students, so the school owner decided to let Fak
killed the mad dog. This was the first time that Fak broke one of the 5 rules
of being a good person. He has killed that dog although he wasn’t even sure that
it was a mad dog. Fak felt sorry for what he did.
Now Fak would like to make a funeral
for his dad, and decided to borrow the headmaster money from him. Then, he went
to Uncle Khai house to inform him and hire him to help manage the funeral ceremony.
Unexpected thing occurred. Uncle Khai believed what Fak said about M’am Somsong
that they never have an affair with each other. However, Fak didn’t trust him
because Uncle Khai easily believed of what he said or maybe Uncle Khai wanted
to make a lot of money. Fak thought that Uncle Khai might have cheated him. Fak
spread the invitation around the village, but no one said anything. That’s
evening during the funeral, no one came and that’s really disappointed Fak. He
even felt sorry for his dad soul. That night, Uncle Khai introduced Fak to the
rice wine which would make Fak forgot all about his depression. It is also weird
because, later his only friend
introduced Fak to alcoholism which an mean to help him release from stress.
However, this leads Fak to his dead. Alcohol give him more pleasure and make
Fak to gain more confidence. Fak could easily fell asleep and alcohol helped erase
all the suffering. He even considered the alcohol to be his best friend, and
every time he would go to Uncle Khai house for a chat. He got addicted to
alcohol and every time he would increase the amount until his desire for alcohol
increase that the villagers criticized him and couldn’t believe that the young Fak
would end up becoming addicted to alcohol.

The Judgement page 1-50
The story start in a small village far away form the town. A man name Fak begin to lose his reputation, because of the peanuts seller, Lamai was her name. And there was a rumor that Fak still his father wife. The rumor make him look bad and almost everyone in the village know. Fak used to have a good manner for his hard working and
proper behavior. As a young novice, people would enjoy his chanting and he had fulfilled their expectation. However, he disrobed. There’s irony on the setting of this situation. Fak began to lose his
reputation the day of the abbot anniversary inside the temple, and the
temple has been known by the Thai society that it’s supposed to be a
holy place where people come to make worship during
ceremony. People always become refresh when they come to make a
merit in the temple. However, for Fak, he received the bad achievement and his
reputation begins to decline. Fak’s mother died since birth, so he lived
all alone with his dad in the temple until they built a hut behind the
temple when his dad received a full time employment as a school janitor.
However, in the end of that year before New Year, Fak’s father died and
there’s a rumor about lust and young wife, so he has to keep Somsong
with him and inherited his dad work. Madame Somsong is insane and
mentally ill and that’s really upset Fak because she always brings him
trouble. Fak truly afraid of criticism and judgment by the society, even
his friends and old monk rejected to talk and associate with him.
Therefore, work was the only thing that would relieve Fak from those
nightmares. He was completely isolated. However, he still had one
respectful person which is the headmaster whom Fak kept the deposit of
his salary with him. Firstly,
he was afraid of geeting scold. Everyone in the village would be blamed him of
kicking her out like an old hag once he’d slept with her. Then, he
still worried and care for Madame Somsong whether how could she lived
after he kick her out. He must show some care and concern about her.
